Myriam – volunteer since July 2019
As a former teacher, now retired, I have always believed in the importance of sharing knowledge,
exchanging ideas and helping others learn.
During a visit to the Park, I met one of the Foundation’s volunteers. The conversation we had made
everything clear: I wanted to be part of this wonderful journey too.
What I enjoy most about volunteering are the awareness days. They give me the opportunity to
meet visitors in a different way, to take the time to talk with them, introduce them to the Foundation
and its projects, answer their questions, and share what I know.
Visitors are curious, engaged and, above all, grateful. Hearing someone say, “Thank you, I’ve
learned something thanks to you” is incredibly feeling.
Sharing, helping, teaching others, and continuing to learn myself, that is what gives my volunteering
its true meaning.
