Supporting scientific research is essential to the preservation
of endangered species. Many studies can only be conducted
in zoological parks, requiring prolonged observation of
specific individuals or the collection of samples through
non-invasive medical methods, for example.
The knowledge acquired complements data collected in the
wild, allowing a better understanding of the specific needs
of endangered species, their behaviour and their habitat
requirements. Ultimately, this enables the development of
effective conservation strategies to safeguard our planet’s
biodiversity.
