The Pairi Daiza Foundation’s CREAVES is a treatment
centre for wild animals. Located at the entrance to Pairi
Daiza, the CREAVES “Géraldine’s Heaven” was named
after Géraldine Labille, a keeper who passed away on
29 September 2017, aged just 25.
Unlike other CREAVES, it does not take in animals directly
from the public, but provides medical support to other
centres that do accept them. The centre has state-of-theart medical facilities, enabling its team of veterinarians,
keepers and volunteers to look after animals requiring
surgery or specialised care. The centre also works with
experts and universities. Once they have recovered,
the animals are released into the wild by the CREAVES
centres they came from.
