In 2024, the Pairi Daiza Foundation joined forces with the NGO Noé in a strategic partnership for the management
and preservation of three outstanding natural areas in Africa. These represent 107,000 sq. km (3.5 times the size
of Belgium, or 10 million hectares) of biodiversity-rich ecosystems, home to 55 endangered species.
In Niger, the Termit and Tin-Toumma Nature Reserve is home to the world’s last remaining population of addax, as
well as the world’s largest population of Dama gazelles.
In the Republic of the Congo, the Conkouati-Douli National Park, consisting of dense forest and a marine park,
provides a habitat for gorillas, forest elephants, leopards, leatherback sea turtles, dolphins and whales.
In Chad, the Binder-Léré Wildlife Reserve protects manatees, Kordofan giraffes, elephants and numerous birds in
its savannahs and lakes.
Noé, in partnership with local governments, manages these spaces and is supported by around 350 national and
local employees.
